Back And Fat

Just came back from a weeklong Shanghai trip yesterday night. it was fun. the bargaining. the food. the company, me, another weiming, jane, trini, leon, ryan. Well... we reached Shanghai on Monday night and the first feeling was that we'll have communication problems after listening to a couple of the chinese staff conversing.

Tuesday. started on our shopping spree planned out by leon. we had the best xiao long bao at this place which i forgot the name. then we visited xiangyang market where they sell those fake genuine goods. man, the touters were everywhere. jane set the standard of the price when she got a pair of sunglasses for 30 rmb. poor weiming bought another pair b4 her for 80! there, we met yi kiay(not sure if it's spelt this way.) formerly from RJ, a friend of weiming, trini and jane. he's super sociable. talks non-stop in a good way. a great guy. he showed us some of shanghai's night scenes and even opened a bottle of chivas to treat us. the popular drink there was chivas mixed with green tea. quite nice.

Din do much on wednesday. met up with yi kiay to shop ard the upclass area of shanghai. went to sony gallery. the only place that interest us was the toilet. =S had an expensive but not good steamboat dinner before making our way back to hotel. yi kiay went back s'pore that night. great host.

ryan came on thursday morning. gave us the morning call. irritating as usual. made our way to the Bund, where we paid to go thru a cock sightseeing tunnel. then we head towards Jinmao tower.the second tallest building in china. went to the 88th storey and there, we spent a few hours on hao hao wan, a machine to grapple dolls. it's just 20 cents sing a try, why not... that night, we went to another part of shanghai's night scene. went to babyface where they played some nice hiphop tunes for a while. tried house of blues and jazz but there's no live band. a tat disappointed, we made our way back to the hotel.

nothing special on friday. only that we went to Haoledi, a ktv place. we were completely bowled over. the services there are damn good. in the ktv room, there's buttons to press for disco lights, clapping sounds, whistles etc. there's even tambourines to beat to the rythmme! beat kbox and party world handsdown!

the last two days, we went back to xiangyang and other places to do our last min shopping for our family and friends back in s'pore. i simply love bargaining there. seeing the black owners' faces when i quote low prices. simply high! *evillaughter*

Wishing you eternal bliss

Just came back from my former secondary school teacher's wedding. she looked really beautiful, totally apt to the saying that a woman look the most beautiful in her wedding day. it's nice to see some old familiar faces again. serena, eileen, chun guan, terence, szegay and shuyi were there. Among the absentees were beng huat, shengjie and judy, all of them were unlucky to have something unfortunate happening to them. think the dinner would be even better if they had been able to come. yup, will be waiting to hear good news from MADAM chay jwee yen... hahaha...

later will be flying off to shanghai but packing's not entirely done.. feel that i missed packing something but can't put a finger to what.. sigh... dunno why but not really looking forward to this trip.. don't really have the excitment that i usually have when i am looking forward to something... let's hope during the trip will make me feel better...

What a week

Monday was the day when i became another year older. thought that it's going shy past without anyone knowing except my close pals, guess i was wrong! thx to rain, grace, amos,lionel and kiat for a pleasant surprise! din know how you guys found out but thx anyway! i think i also provided quite a bit of entertainment for you guys too la! great time at the beach guys! we should go again!

Tuesday, lost to rain in pool.. bleah... underestimated my opponent!! next time, failure is NOT an option. went to watch madagascar after that... *i like to move it, move it. you like to... MOVE IT!* the movie's very funnie and the tune's so catchy and i was blasting away this very tune at home before my mum threaten to cut off my allowance if i dun stop the music... got my gundam model from of all places, in kiddy palace! dun care la as long got 20% discount.. got my puzzle frame too! =)

On wednesday, my incamp briefing! was sleeping though the talks.. waste of time! i failed my ippt!!! boohoo... an episode of just-misses.. 2 inches to clock my 6th pullup to get a D, 7 cm to 216 cm to get another D and 7 sec to clock 12min19s for yet another D.. i was just aiming for D to pass and my 100 bucks... sianz... have to go take ippt again...

thursday, watched kingdom of heaven! finally! left starwars that i haven watch.. this time, came prepared with my sis's ic for momo.. though they din check ic in the end...

friday, lunch with jc fren before taking a much needed break back home.

played soccer on sat morning before i was reluctantly pulled along to pumpfest. the weather's a freaking killer. body shutdown upon reaching home.

today's finally a rest day! i went to ntuc to get a bit of groceries though.. saw the meats section... feel like whipping up a few dishes... hee.. got my mum to find me a cookbook! next week, let the test cooking begins! tomorrow, i'm going to ubin for npcc camp. sianz. cya after 3 days... i miss singapore already... =S
