Phase 1.8 : hungry

I am in need of FOOD... Had a packet of maggi goreng just an hour ago which is my DINNER which is pathetically little... currently watching "Quan Neng Mei Shi Xiu", a taiwanese variety gameshow on showcasing their local delicacies. This is a warning to all who are dying of hunger. You should NOT be watching this show in the first place, you will be crying more than laughing... *major salivation*

Okie, shall try not to think of food now which is a bit hard when your stomach is making its warcry... anyway, went back hall today to help my cousin to collect her graduation cert since she's busy and i am free AND nothing to do... took a lift from ryan to ntu where we went for a swim after getting my cousin's cert. another warning. NEVER go swimming in the evening! the ah tiongs literally made the pool theirs and they had a funny BO on them which makes me wonder if they are going to a public bath. worse still, i felt like swimming in the sea if you know what i mean..*eck*

after a refreshing.. erm.. i'll take that back... after an uncomfortable swim, i managed to jio some khakis to play soccer. We played with hall 3 and i have to say that hall 3's passing is damn good. *respect*... and guys, i am not that bad la.. i caught what u mean that i had lotsa shooting opportunities and that no one was marking me... tamade... =S...

okie.. enough said.. i seriously need to find some food... gonna faint from hunger soon...

Phase 1.7 : Last One

Finally!!! the core papers are all over! there's the last one on 4th may but now's the time to play, play, PLAY!!! now, looking for people to go to Bangkok! come on, people... time to do some serious shopping!!! *delirious*

Phase 1.6 : Three more...

Had my Life Science paper today. not so bad, think i can get at least a B. the paper had some cockup though. some of the questions have 5 mcq choices whereas on the OAS sheet, there's only 4 circles to shade. sheesh. talk about professionalism. i had some pleasant surprises during the paper though, saw an increased number of presentable ladies in the examination hall. was wondering why til i saw my adidas sale buddy, qiyan in the crowd. the CS yr 2s were also having their paper there. and were they pissed over the repeated announcements over the mcq problem in my paper... hahaha..

and ryan, i know you had your last paper today and we wouldn't be seeing you around soon.. but we still have papers for the rest of this week! so no soccer for us til then!!! we don't want to follow hall 7's tradition ley... all the best in the near future... wun miss u much... and don't forget to come back for a soccer game or two.. haha..

Phase 1.5 : Taking a break

So tired of studying the whole day, so taking a short break to relax.. watching a bit of tv now which is playing WWE aka wrestling. erm... not a very relaxing show.. hahaha.. with all the punches and the blood, wonder what's so nice to watch people covered in blood, trying to beat the hell out of each other. Eck... prefer the past WWF, at least there's no blood. Hee...

After seeing ryan's blog, i also decided to make a list of to-get items after i complete the clinical research volunteer thingy...

1)a pair of jeans
2)berms or surf shorts
3)SWATCH watch
4)jacket
5)some T-shirts? if i have enough $$ left that is.. =)

Phase 1.4 : Efforts ≠ Results

It's a disappointing day... studied and practised so hard for my maths. sigh. it proved to be a great disappointment. i died at the hands of maths today. now praying for heavens' intervention that i don't flunk it. Need to make up by studying doubly hard for other subjects!!!

Oh. another thing, i got a lucky winner to watch 'Lord Of The Dance' with me. and yes, it's FOC. my treat. HAHA.. yesh! so looking forward to it! shall study triply hard to make this reward extra sweet. Hee... next time then.. =P

Phase 1.3 : One down, five to go...

finally, exams have offically started. french was the first which got the ball rolling. was comparatively easy compared to the past years' papers according to my friends. oh wells, a C or above might determine whether i'll go for level two next sem and i've tried my best, so now wishing for the best. =P

Was watching TV these few days and keep seeing the advert of Michael Flatley's LORD OF THE DANCE. SO gianz to watch! it's about irish tap-dancing and they are so cool and precise... @_@... But couldn't find anyone to watch with. sigh. hmmm.. think have to resort to desperate measures... any girls interested in watching? i treat!!! SERIOUS!!! From 26 april - 1 may only!!!

Phase 1.2 : Good things are worth waiting for

Joined the gang of four (consists of ryan, leon, jane and kailin) to the flea market in havelock rd. leon aka furby, couldn't make it as he was going to a dinner. So i was the 'replacement' of the gang of four. =S... we had no idea where was the exact location of the flea market but thanks to the sharp eyes of kailin, we didn't have to waste time looking for it. there were lotsa groupies or yuppies (whatever you call them) and they were looking really hip and cool. However, the gals there looked only so-so but according to jane, there were lotsa cute guys around. Jane got herself a top, a pair of shorts and earrings.. all of which looked new and good while kailin got a few pairs of m&m's lookalike earrings and even ryan got himself 2 cool custom-made t-shirts. sigh. i was the only one who didn't get any stuff except for a free pint of heineken which was a treat by ryan as the beers were selling 1 for 1 at $6. real cheap. not like i like beers a lot. since, its free, wth...

Was dying of hunger by then and we went to have dinner at nydc. never realised that their baked rice tastes so good! after a satisfied dinner, we went to shop around in heeren where i finally got a tee together with ryan. Haha.. not a fruitless trip after all. jane got herself more stuff from mambo... omg... does she has a powerful financial backer somewhere?? haha..

Yup, this ends a brief reprieve from the "montagne(mountain)" of books and notes... time now to "études(study)"... erm... after watching a soccer match that is.. =P

Phase 1.1 : duped

It seems that not everyone reads confidentiality clauses at all. this applies esp. to ryan. tsk... apparently, his gang of four knows what happened to my french presentation. sigh... soon, i'll really have to walk around with a paperbag over my head. No wonder the girls were sniggling away when i met them for dinner yesterday nite... tamade...

If this low blow didn't inflict much damage , ryan managed to give me give me a knockout punch later that night. He asked me to go running which i agreed to after hearing that there were girls running together with us. No. not because they were HOT ASIAN girls but because i wanted to run at a relaxed pace. serious. anyway, the blow came when i was in ryan's car when he said we are running separately with the girls... *shocked* i wasn't sure whether jane was being trying to console me or otherwise... keep telling me "don't worry, you can make it.... later you all will have a siong PT after the run too..." *double shock*

What i hoped to be a leisure jog turned out to be a full-blooded commando training... (to me anyways.. ryan and leon, the commando, keep saying is one of the less siong ones liao *faint*) We started at around 2 and ended the training at around 4+ in the morning. yes, this is some crazy stuff hall residents do. i swear i almost died in hall 4... after the training, we had supper/breakfast at a dimsum shop in LITTLE INDIA.. requested by none other, Jane. after that, we went to Leon's cozy nest to have a drink before making our way back to hall. when we came back to hall, we realised that there are already people waiting for buses *yikes*

With that i ended a very tiring day, a very tired man... okies.. think i lamented enough.. time to study... again... =(

here i am... returning to my comfort zone. the heat is on, everyone's have switched on to their study mode. sigh, think my switch is slightly faulty. have to get it fixed soon.

waiting now for a jap anime "Shaman King" to start on arts central.. i really admire jap anime producers.. they are always capable to fuse some important everyday issues with something light-hearted such as an anime... e.g. the anime 'gundam seed', with all the cool robots fighting and stuff, yet there's the underlying issue of genetic research and the use of nuclear weapons. what we are unable to voice out in this world is being voiced out in another. but that's how these shows and cinema works, isn't it? hahaha... think i'm too into my PE, cinematic pleasures and identity.

went to the dentist AGAIN today. people are supposed to just visit the dentist once every 6 months and here i m visiting him twice in 2 weeks! in the clinic, saw one of my french classmates, yixiu, she's having a very bad gum infection it seems and we talked a bit while waiting for our turns. phew. it seems that there's no after-effects from what happened yesterday. lucky =P. so my turn came and the dentist, Dr Neo, told me that he will check which teeth needs filling and he used a laser device to check for decay in the teeth. If bacteria or decay was detected, the gizmo would go 'Beep'! my heart sank a little whenever a beep was heard. let me do the equation... increase in no. of beeps = more fillings = more $$ from my pocket. anyway, he filled 2 of my teeth and told me there's TWO more to go which means another visit to his clinic is imminient... sigh.. i went back hall with poorer man with healthier teeth...

okies.. my anime is starting.. all righty then... time to get back to the real world...

Yoz... haha.. a bit crappy entrance but whatever... this is my blog anyway. Let's start. This is my virgin blog and what a way to start a blog in a day when you thought things just couldn't end any worse....

I started the day late since i don't have any lessons and decided to DO some revisions before going for my physics lect. And boy, was the physics lect interesting... the lect was goin smoothly and normally til the lecturer talk on factors affecting heat transfer coefficient: h.

Lecturer: ....factors affecting H are... fluid velocity, U... fluid specific heat, c... fluid thermal conductivity, k... fluid viscousity, ρ..
(at this pt.. he wrote down f(U,c,k,ρ,...) on the transparency and everyone in the LT finds it amusing and was sniggering away...)
Lecturer: what's wrong? (looks at transparency and then at the students. Sniggering continues.)
Lecturer:(again) what's wrong? what's so funny?
Someone in the LT:(not very clearly) you wrote fuck...
Lecturer:what?! i can't hear you..
Someone in the LT: YOU WROTE F.U.C.K...!
Lecturer:(looks at his transparency) OH!!! (covers up the transparency)... you know i don't mean it right... i really don't mean it... i didn't know... you know i didn't mean it rite... there are things you should remember and things to forget... just now you should forget....

Yup.. that's how i get my day started. after the amusing lect, i went back to get ready for my french presentation. French is seriously a tough customer to deal with.Winnie and i can definitely vouch for it esp those words with 'r's in them. "trees" become " 'arbres". how to pronounce when 'r's are pronounce with an 'air' sound. never able to get them right. During french, we were 'ready' to get it over and done with when we realised that the tutor's laptop can't be used to access our thumbdrives. On seeing the disappointed faces around, i decided to act hero and volunteer to go get my laptop. After braving the slopes, slippery grounds and the heavy rain, i managed to make it back to the classroom a drenched(the front portion of me only. can imagine how fast i was running. ;p) and hot man. a hero. haha... but after the first girl presented her presentation, my hero image turned to a zero image... ALL THANKS TO *****, my image was destroyed in a click of a mouse... what happened is strictly confidental. whoever knows abt it, please, i trust you to read the confidentality clause.

phew... what a day.. oh yeah.. was having mixed feelings when the french class ended. No. not because of the incident but that i have just ended one of the most interesting modules this sem. will miss the class, the tutor and my pretty partner in class!!! Wee nee!!! hope you will find a great job aft u graduate!!! hope we will stay in contact!! A bientôt!!! hahaha!

okie.. i should stop and start studying.. all right.. back to the books!
